BenComesToNiles: "Ben Franklin used electricity to cook turkey"

This blog heralded the coming of the national traveling exhibition, made possible by the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Library Association, to the Niles Public Library District in Illinois for the period of October 15 through December 5, 2008.

The traveling exhibition is based on a major international exhibit developed by the Benjamin Franklin Tercentenary

Reflective of Franklin's belief in the value of association to improve the common good, the Niles Public Library (IL) acknowledges with gratitude the expressions and letters of support it received from the following institutions in seeking the exhibition: The Chicago Public Library and its Jefferson Park and Roden Branches, Des Plaines Public Library (North Suburban Library System), Lincolnwood Public Library (NSLS), Morton Grove Public Library (NSLS), Niles Historical Society, Park Ridge Public Library (NSLS), the Skokie Public Library (NSLS), and the Maine Township High School East and the Niles Township High Schools as well as the Village of Niles and the Niles Historical Society.
